It wasn’t easy to come up with just 10 of our fave Aussie brands. We started with a list as long as our arm and had to leave out a few amazing contenders. You can find all the products made in Australia here.
We hope that our top 10 list sheds a little light on smaller Australian businesses and artists as well as those household names we’re all so fond of!
1. Maxwell & Williams
Internationally-renowned, Maxwell & Williams, hit the market in 1995. But the roots of this global homewares brand go back much further than that!
Max Grundmann and Bill Ryan founded the brand under the umbrella of H.A.G – a homewares business initially begun by Max’s parents Harry and Anna Grundmann, who immigrated to Australia in 1961 after surviving the Holocaust.
H.A.G was a huge success. And with Max Grundmann at the helm, Maxwell & Williams became one of the country’s most popular Aussie homewares brands.

A leading source of cushions and throws in Australia, Rapee is a high-quality brand that many interior designers rely upon for the best designs in modern décor.
First founded in 1977 in busy Sydney, Rapee made a name for themselves with their unmatched quality and designs. Since then, their reputation has made them a leading brand of soft furnishings, table linens and bedding.
3. Willow & Wood
An Aussie family-business, Willow & Wood, was established in 2012. But the love of handcrafted, high-quality homewares began over 20 years before when a father helped his daughter make a wall-mounted bookshelf…
With the philosophy that the best designs are made with love and made to last, Willow & Wood design all their shelves and décor in their Sydney workshop.
4. Jennifer Lia
Sydney-based artist, Jennifer Lia, is inspired by the coastal landscape around her studio in Manly. Having started out as a fashion buyer, Jennifer Lia sidelined her creative work for 10 years before taking up the challenge of starting her own business.
Her decor ranges from original paintings and prints to linen cushions and colourful dinnerware, all made in Australia from locally sourced and eco-friendly materials and methods.

5. L&M Home
Originally launched in Melbourne as ‘Linen & Moore’ in 2000, L&M Home has gained great success as a leader in soft furnishings. Founder Anna Lofts wanted to bring luxury living to everyday homes, and this philosophy has seen L&M Home through many seasonal collections.
From bedding and cushions to table linen and kitchen linen, L&M Home is a leader in high-quality textiles that are comfortable and contemporary.
6. NSW Leather Co
As Australia’s largest leather distributor, NSW Leather Co is a go-to source for the highest quality cowhide rugs and cushions. All their hides adhere to top-notch Aussie standards for peace of mind.
NSW Leather Co is a family-owned company now in its third generation. Over 60 years of business, they’ve become a leader in commercial-quality hide products for Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
7. Milk & Sugar
Milk & Sugar are a Melbourne-based design studio with a love of simple yet beautiful homewares. Their first range launched in 2009 and they now release beautiful collections twice a year.
All Milk & Sugar products are developed in their design studio from scratch, so their ranges always reflect the latest interior trends and innovations.

8. Speckled House
Originally established as the well-known decorative brand ‘forwalls’, Speckled House has branched out and become an iconic source of the cutest kids’ designs.
However, their range has expanded from removable wall stickers to adorable wall hooks and nursery bedding. All their designs are creating by their talented in-house team in Australia, then distributed around the world.
9. Palm Beach Collection
Aussie brother-and-sister design duo, Kirsten Walker and Mike Grey founded Palm Beach Collection, inspired by their childhood growing up by the sea. They traversed the world and worked with leading international experts to develop the most luxurious fragrance collections.
Palm Beach Collection’s scented candles and reed diffusers are all made in Australia. And the local Sydney landscape permeates the essence of every delicious fragrance.
10. Art Hide

Design-savvy sisters, Kura Perkins and Bree Hay-Hendry became inspired by the spirit of adventurous travels to South America and a love of leather-craft. Art Hide was born in 2009, blending the sisters’ skills with textiles and fashion design.
