Kids’ gifts are hard to find. It’s a fact. Children can be hard to shop for sometimes. They grow out of their clothes so quickly and who’s to say their favourite character won’t change with the seasons? And it’s even harder if you’re an auntie/uncle/untie! Then you have to make sure the parents will like your gift to their kiddo too! Which is why we decided to think of a few timeless gifts for the little ones in your life to make your holidays easier.

A Play Kitchen

Playing house is something kids always want to do. (We don’t know why either; try telling them that one day being in the kitchen will be a chore!) A play kitchen gives the little ones in your life the opportunity to create make-believe culinary creations. Plus, play kitchens can be used solo or with a friend or sibling to help foster cooperation to keep their parents happy.

Farm To Table Play Kitchen

As many different styles there are of kitchens, there are of play kitchens too. This means you can shop around and find the play kitchen you think is the most stylish (or the one that already matches the family’s home).

Outdoor water and sand play

Here in Australia we might miss out on those stunning, picturesque white Christmases, but holidays in the summer have their own benefits. One such benefit is that the warmer weather means time and opportunity to get outside and play!

Sand and Water Picnic Table

Those of us that are a little too old for such things might not care about the potential for outdoor play, but the kids in your family/friendship circle definitely do. A sandpit, water-based activity table, or some combination of the two offer a medium for messy, hands-on fun to keep them occupied for hours while also helping develop sensory and motor skills! It’s a win-win. Plus they can be a great way for the family to all get outside and enjoy the great outdoors together.

Learning Tools

An educational book, puzzle, or toy can get you in the kid’s good graces and their parents.

Educational toys are a great way for little ones to get hands on and have some fun while helping their little minds with early development. Plus they can be played together, presenting an opportunity for cooperative play with you, their parents, a sibling, or a friend.

A Giant Piano

Not a literal giant piano, but a kid-sized version of the one from Big that they can play with in their very own home. The best part about this gift is that if you’re giving it as a beloved family member or friend. This means you don’t have to listen to the little darling in question develop their musical ability for hours, you just get to play with them.

Giant Dance Mat Piano

A giant piano you can dance on also presents an opportunity to play with the kiddo. Dance together to create harmonies, help foster the little Mozart in them, and prove yourself to be their favourite auntie/uncle/untie.

A Cuddly Teddy Bear

There’s one thing all young children will love and cherish for years to come: a soft teddy bear. A cuddly, huggable pal could be the perfect gift for the little one in your life. As a bonus, it can last for years to come. So even if you perhaps move away and can’t see your little niece/nephew/little one, they will always have a soft teddy to remind them of you!

You can opt for an oversized teddy bear or maybe a little one they can clutch to their chest. You can’t really go wrong!
